Historical NoteReturn to Top

Created by Tacoma Makes, these cards were designed to highlight the history, beauty, and artistic talent of Tacoma, Washington. Chandler O'Leary designed the framework for the cards by hand illustrating and lettering the card boxes, back of the cards, and the number and suit faces of each card. In addition to O'Leary, 26 other Tacoma artists designed original artwork for each card, working in a variety of styles and media to highlight different sites and legends of Tacoma.

The artists for the blue deck include: RR Anderson, Art Chantry, Kristin Giordano, Brian Hutcheson, Lance Kagey, Audra Laymon, Meghan Mitchell, Chandler O'Leary, Shaun Peterson, Elise Richman, Chris Sharp, Jessica Spring, Britton Sukys, Otto Youngers.

The artists for the red deck include: Sean Alexander, Marit Berg, David Boe, Karen Doten, Michaela Eaves, Maria Jost, Chuck Knigge, Jeremy Mangan, Mary Mann, Ric Matthies, Chandler O'Leary, Betty Sapp Ragan, Stan Shaw, Noah Struthers.
