Accession No. 4537-001: Victor B. Scheffer papers, 1938-1995Return to Top
Scope and Content: Field notes on mammals of Washington (primarily recorded in 1938-1939), typewritten manuscript of the book based on these notes, "Mammals of the Olympic National Park and Vicinity," photographs and maps illustrating the text (1938-1945). The National Park Service published the book for the first time in 1949. Published copy of the book (1995) which appeared as Number Two of the Society for Northwestern Vertebrate Biology series "Northwest Fauna, Occasional Monographs on Vertebrate Natural History" was added to the accession in 5/97.
Restrictions on Access: Open to all users.
Restrictions on Use: Creator's literary rights not transferred to the University of Washington Libraries.
