Biographical NoteReturn to Top
John Spaeth was born circa 1912. He was the first Director of planning, City of Seattle, 1948-1972. As a member of the Planning Commission, he also served on several planning committees including the Puget Sound Governmental Conference Community Concerns Committee, American Institute of Planners' State Planning Committee, and Seattle Municipal League's Metropolitan Problems Committee. He died in 1989.
