Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Rufus Woods was born in 1878. He published the Wenatchee Daily World until he was succeeded by his son, Wilfred R. Woods. Woods was an advocate of the Grand Coulee Dam and the Columbia Basin Project. He became a member of the Columbia Basin Commission and President of the Columbia River Development League. He was also Secretary-Treasurer for the Northwest Chemurgy Cooperative.
