Biographical Note

Poet, teacher, editor. 1941- . Bakken was a poet who taught at Pacific Lutheran University (Parkland, Washington), 1966-1967; Portland State University (Oregon), ca 1968-1970; and was poet in residence at Jefferson College, Allendale, Michigan, ca 1976. He appeared sometimes as the "Poetry Chicken." He also edited "Salted Feathers," a poetry magazine, 1966-1969.
