Biographical NoteReturn to Top
T.N. Krishnan (1928-) is a Carnatic music violinist from Tripunithura, British India (present day India). Krishnan learned music from his father and later from his mentor Alleppy K. Parthasarathy. He was considered a child prodigy and made his concert debut at the age of eight. He was also a Professor of Music at a college in Chennai and later the Dean of the School of Music and Fine Arts at the University of Delhi. He received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1974 and the Sangeetha Kala Shikhamani award in 1999.
