Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Yeats was a student of Peter Misch at the UW when he researched the Skykomish area around the North Fork and the South Fork of the Skykomish River for his dissertation. He did additional mapping as a faculty member at Ohio University in the summers of 1968 and 1969 and at Oregon State University in the summer of 1978 as part of a cooperative project with Rowland Tabor of the U.S. Geologic Survey to map the Skykomish River 1:100,000 quadrangle. One of his specialties is subsurface geology of active faults and folds.
