Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Susan Tanenbaum Stern (1943-1976) wrote With the Weathermen : the personal journal of a revolutionary woman, published in 1975. A graduate of the University of Washington, Stern became a political activist. She was a member of Students for a Democratic Society, the Weathermen, the Seattle Liberation Front, and other anti-Vietnam War groups. She was tried for conspiracy as one of the Seattle Seven in 1970.

Correspondence (primarily incoming letters to Stern); clippings, including book reviews of "With the Weathermen"; manuscripts of various writings by Stern; and photographs used in Stern's book. With the Weathermen. Includes letters from Susan Stern and her brother, Roger Tanenbaum, to their mother, Bernice (Bunny), cards, photographs and other family memoralia.
