The 1905 "History of Albany College" was produced by students in James Munn Sox's course in modern history. The 152-page handwritten document covers the founding of the college, the administration of each president, student organizations, athletics, and the experiences of students, alumni, and faculty.
The 1956 "A History of Albany College and Lewis and Clark College" written by Mary Jean Schrunk details the origins of Albany College and its history, including the transition to Portland and renaming as Lewis & Clark College. The paper presented as a historical research paper for Oregon history to Dr. Robert M. Gatke of Willamette University. The paper closes with a short review of Gatke's book, "The Chronicles of Willamette."
