Clippings documenting the revival of interest in the 1980s and 1990s in silent filmmaker Nell Shipman (1892-1970), who made some of her films at Priest Lake, Idaho, 1922-1924; together with Townsend's correspondence with other park officials and researchers about Shipman's years at Priest Lake and the park's screening of her films. Includes a few early clippings (1916-1918) about Nell Shipman.
Laurence G. Townsend was a park manager at Priest Lake State Park in Idaho and a resident of Rosalia, Washington.
