Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Lester Smith served as a member of Company I, Second Oregon Volunteers, in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War. He obtained a law degree in Oregon in 1894, settled near Weiser, and served in the Idaho House of Representatives in 1906. His first wife was Mary Kennedy, whom he married in 1894, and after her death in 1896, he married Abbie Neals in 1908.
