The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), founded in 1890, is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, education, and the preservation of American history. Membership is open to woman who are 18 years or older and a lineal descendent of someone who served in the armed forces or as a civil officer in one of the colonies or states, was a recognized patriot, or was an individual who gave material aid in the fight for American independence.
The Chief Whatcom Chapter of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution was established in Bellingham, Washington in 1912.

Album relating to the activities and members of the Chief Whatcom Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, from Bellingham, Washington. The album includes 5 photographs, 5 postcards, correspondence and ephemera.
Includes two photographs of a decorated car entered by the Chief Whatcom Chapter in the 1925 Tulip Festival Parade and one photograph of a garden party; correspondence with members from other chapters, and with the Library of Congress regarding a gift from the chapter; ephemera from the planting of a George Washington Bicentennial tree and from the 1934 state DAR conference, hosted by the Chief Whatcom Chapter; holiday cards; poems read at meetings; and clippings, mostly about the death of Lottie T. Roth, member of a prominent Bellingham pioneer family.
