Eugene P. Kiver is a Professor of Geology Emeritus at Eastern Washington University, and a former resident of Cheney, Washington. Much of his research is focused on the geology of Eastern Washington, especially in conjunction with the Ice Age Floods, and the Columbia Plateau geology.

The collection includes his research and notes on Lake Roosevelt slope erosion, volcanic and glacier studies of Mount Baker, photographs of the Columbia River, maps that show the topography of Mount Rainier, and articles relating to all of his research.
