Historical NoteReturn to Top

Phi Eta Sigma is a national honor society for freshman and first-year college students, designed to encourage and promote academic excellence at universities across the United States. The organization was established at the University of Illinois in 1923. In 1948, Washington State University chartered its own chapter, but only male students could join. It became inactive in 1980, but was re-chartered in 1993. Currently, the chapter is active, but only at the WSU Tri-Cities branch campus.
