Historical NoteReturn to Top

The Bean/Cowpea Collaborative Research Support Project was the second CSRP to receive funding from USAID. The original planning for the project took place at Michigan State University, for projects in Latin America and Africa, and the projects were collaborations between United States investigators at research universities and host country scientists. Washington State University was part of the project for 25 years, until 2007 when the project was discontinued. Carol Miles was the principal investigator for the project from 2000 to 2007. Most of the materials in this collection are from a WSU-directed project in East Africa. The main objectives of the project were cultivar development, student training, and research.
