There are two women pictured throughout the album. One is unidentified, and the other is identified as Jessie B. The initials J.B.W. are written on the inner cover of the album and may refer to Jessie B. The letters BH.FA appear on the cover page of the album. Since the album ends in northern California, it is likely they lived there and that was where their trip started.

This album documents a road trip taken by two women in summer 1927. The photographs begin in Montana, go through British Columbia, Canada, and end in California. There are 12 chapters in the album. Each chapter begins with a poem that describes the events and locations pictured in that chapter. The album begins in Babb, Montana. Some of the other locations include Banff National Park, Kootenay National Park,Yoho National Park, Revelstoke National Park, and the Historic Columbia River Highway.
