- Summary
- The Seismograph Stations is a research, educational, and public service unit of the Department of Geology and Geophysics. The data is collected from a network of stations in several states and used for assessing earthquake hazards and studying earthquake mechanics. The bulk of this collection consists of research proposals and reports concerning geology, seismology, and earthquake prediction, the majority of which were authored by Robert B. Smith or Kenneth L. Cook. Also included is a small quantity of correspondence dealing with administrative matters.
