Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Warren E. Luse was born in Oregon on September 24, 1920. He was appointed Staff Sergeant of Hdq. 82, Infrantry Brigade on September 1st, 1941. He married Dorothy A. Snider from Columbia County, Oregon in Olympia, Washington on February 26, 1942. In May 1942 he landed in Australia and served in the South Pacific during WWII. He died on June 12, 2008.

Photographs and ephemera relating to Staff Sergeant Warren E. Luse at Fort Lewis and in the South Pacific during World War II. Photographs are of troops in California in the Summer of 1941, New Guinea and Australia. Ephemera include telegrams, letters, greeting cards, newspaper clippings, political cartoons, plus a collection of cards congratulating Warren and Dorothy on their wedding in 1942.
