Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Joseph H. Peck was born in Breckenridge, Missouri, on 11 August 1885 to Joseph R. and Elizabeth C. Peck. He received his medical education from Ensworth Medical College and St. Mark's hospital in 1913 and 1915. He practiced in Gunnison, then Wendover, and after serving in World War I, he settled in Tooele, Utah, until his retirement. After retirement, Peck and his wife moved to California where he became a writer.

Peck was a twentieth-century Utah author and physician. His photographs include portraits of himself and pictures of the Gold Hill mining region in Utah.
