Historical NoteReturn to Top
The Dame family, with roots in New Hampshire, participated in the Mormon migration to the Salt Lake Valley in 1848, and William Dame, a Parowan stake president, was involved in the Mountain Meadows Massacre. He also held other leadership positions in the LDS Church and was elected to the territorial legislature. The McBride Family were originally Quakers from New York. Like the Dames, the family also participated in the Mormon migration and were active church members.
