Biographical Note
Stephen Dunthorne was born in New York City on April 16, 1925 to parents Robert Gordon Dunthorne and Mary Allen Dunthorne. He was a 1949 graduate of the University of Washington and served as an academic adviser for the university's School of Art between 1961 and 1990. He was married to Virginia Dunthorne and had one son, Peter. Dunthorne died on September 17, 2005.
