marching band, followed by a color guard, on a neighborhood sports field. A
large parade on a downtown street. Tall waterfall, with a system of walkways at
the base for public use. Men fishing in a stream. Men playing catch with
baseball in a field at the edge of water. A parade in downtown Seattle with
marching bands, floats, pipers, men in colonial costumes, and servicepeople in
military dress. Parade float slogan: "Seattle all-out for defense."

around. Construction of the Lacey V. Murrow Memorial bridge across Lake
Washington. The exterior of Sick's Seattle Stadium. Lights and signs of
downtown Seattle at night. Distant mountains in the daytime.
The Lacey V. Murrow Memorial Bridge (Lake Washington Floating
Bridge) opened on July 2, 1940. Sick's Stadium was the home of the Seattle
Rainiers, Seattle's first Major League Baseball club.

drivers. Double exposure of film for the remainder: Crew races on Lake
Washington, with ducks along the shore. Two women, one in a wheelchair, petting
a dog while socializing in front of a parked car. A boat, the
W.T. Preston, on the water. An amphibious red
convertible riding across the water.
The W.T. Preston was a "snagboat" for
controlling natural debris along several Puget Sound rivers. Originally docked
at the Hiram M. Chittendem Locks in Seattle, the ship was moved to Anacortes,
Washington, and given National Historic Landmark status.
