Photographs, correspondence, press clippings, issues of "Bo's'n's Whistle", and ephemera relating to the activities of Charles P. Harman, an engineer originally from Montana who worked for the Kaiser Company in Portland, Oregon, for thirty-eight years. Photographs, issues of "Bo's'n's Whistle", and other materials document the Kaiser shipyards at Swan Island, Portland, Oregon during World War II, including employees, buildings, construction projects, and vessels. Photographs also document the Detroit Dam project, Grand Coulee Dam, and the St. Johns Bridge in Portland. Also includes Halray Harman materials: one (1) student directory and fifty-five (55) photographs of the Enterprise and Wallowa Lake, Oregon, areas.
