The collection contains correspondence, manuscripts, notes, photographs, tearsheets, index cards, books, pulps, articles, drawings, memorabilia, and reviews.

The original donation contains correspondence, manuscripts, notes, photographs, tearsheets, index cards, books, and miscellaneous materials.

Correspondence is organized into outgoing (1930-1969) and incoming letters files alphabetically by name or title of agency. There are numerous outgoing letters typed/written on the backs of incoming letters. These have been filed with incoming correspondence. There are also outgoing letters typed/written on the backs of other outgoing letters. Correspondence includes letters exchanged with U.S. Departments of Defense, Labor, Interior as well as with naval officers, and Senator Richard Nixon.

Manuscripts include book-length, short stories, screenplays by Marmur, and screenplays by others based on Marmur's stories. Manuscript material is filed by title of work.

Notes, photographs, miscellaneous material and tearsheets are also included.

The information on the index cards indicate where and when Marmur's writings were submitted.

The 1977 addenda contains correspondence, short stories, pulps, articles, photographs, drawings, memorabilia, and reviews.

The correspondence includes outgoing letters (1942-1966) and incoming letters from Curtis Publishing Company (Julie Nixon Eisenhower) and Noel M. Loomis.

Short stories are filed alphabetically by title as are pulps. There is a section of British pulps also filed alphabetically by title.

Miscellaneous material includes photographs and portraits of literary agents, editors, naval officers, and naval scenes, as well as pen and ink drawings and sketches, maritime and naval memorabilia, and reviews of Marmur's works.
