Historical NoteReturn to Top
The Hamilton Woman's Club developed out of a "Mothers Club", organized in 1911 in Hamilton, Montana. The club's name was changed to the Hamilton Woman's Club in 1913, and in 1914 it became a member of the Montana Federation of Women's Clubs. The Club is a civic organization that has worked for the establishment of a Carnegie Library in Hamilton, and a county health council. The Club donates money to organizations such as the library; state institutions for the deaf, blind, and mentally impaired; and the high school band. It improves the local parks, shows educational films, and comforts the hospitalized. At its monthly meetings, members present programs on a wide variety of travel, political, and social topics, and occasionally pass resolutions.
