Historical NoteReturn to Top
The Library Operations Group was established in 1997 with the charge to improve communication about library systems and electronic information initiatives. Joe Kiegel served as the first chair of the group from May 1997 through June 1998 and membership consisted of library staff from a number of divisions and units. In November 1999, The LOG review committee recommended reshaping the Libraries Executive Committee and Library Operations Group into a new structure consisting of two new, coordinated groups: The Director's Cabinet and the University Libraries Council. In the spring of 2000, both groups were formed and chaired by the Director of University Libraries, Betty G. Bengtson.
