Historical NoteReturn to Top
Turner, Oregon and Marion County boasted a "well drilled brass band. The Turner Cornet Band was most active during the 1890s and furnished entertainment for a number of social and political events, including picnics and parades, throughout Marioun County. The group built their own octagon band stand for public playing in Turner on the west side of the mill race, between C and D streets, which stood until the early 1900s. The structure was later moved to the south end of 3rd street."
