Content DescriptionReturn to Top

The Marion Porterfield photograph albums consist of three albums: one dating from 1922-1931, one from 1932-1938, and one undated album. Many of the photographs are of hikes taken by the Montana Mountaineers in or around Missoula, Montana. These locations include Rattlesnake Creek, Pattee Canyon, Blue Mountain, and Mount Sentinel. The scrapbooks also include photographs taken in Glacier National Park, the Canadian Rockies, Swan Valley (Montana), Garnet, the National Bison Range, Polson, and an expedition in 1933 down the Pacific Coast to Oakland, California.

The albums also contain portraits that are not likely related to the Montana Mountaineers.
