Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Louis H. Maxson was born 1883. He attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania 1906-1908. He began his Seattle practice in 1910 and decided to specialize in anesthesia. He brought gas-oxygen anesthesia to the West Coast, served as chief anesthetist at Harborview, and published "Spinal Anethesia" in 1937. He died of complications from diabetes in 1938.
