Historical NoteReturn to Top
Seven Hills Winery was established in 1988 as the fifth winery in the Walla Walla Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA) by Casey and Vicky McClellan. The winery first produced four tons of cabernet sauvignon and merlot, and was housed in the Watermill Building in Milton-Freewater, Oregon from 1988 to 1999. It was the only winery in Eastern Oregon at the time. The winery's current tasting room, the historic Whitehouse Crawford Building in Walla Walla, was purchased by the McClellans and Carl and Sonia Schmitt in 1999. The winery was sold to the Crimson Wine Group in 2016.
