Historical NoteReturn to Top
Rosco Louie Gallery opened in April 1978 in Seattle's Pioneer Square. Started by Larry Reid and his wife Tracy Rowland, the space was used for visual and performance art, as well as a venue for punk and grunge rock bands. Reid and Rowland's goal was to remove barriers between people and art and to make art something not just for elites. In 1982, Reid and Rowland felt they had accomplished their goals and voluntarily closed Rosco Louie Gallery.
