Oregon State University Dads Club Records, 1933-2003

Series 1 is comprised of materials documenting the activities of the Oregon State University Dads Club. Included are administrative files containing correspondence, meeting minutes, financial reports, notes, and voting records. The series also includes club constitutions and amendments, memberships lists, and publications produced by the club including the Dads Club Bulletin and the OSC Dads News Letter. The series also contains multiple copies of five unique photographs of Dads Club members and one photo of the Euterpe singers at the Dads Day banquet.

Series 2 is comprised of records documenting the Dads Club's philanthropic efforts which included the distribution of merit awards to high-achieving high school students and scholarships to Oregon State University students. The series includes lists of award recipients, correspondence to and from award recipients, donation and financial records, certificate blanks, and notes and memoranda.

Series 3 is comprised of records from Dads Day, Dads Weekend, and Dads Banquet events held at Oregon State University between 1934 and 2003. In the early years of the club, the Dads Banquet was held during Homecoming and Dads Day was held in winter term. The banquet and Dads Day events were later merged and, in 1962, Dads Day was expanded to Dads Weekend, and included events and activities across three days. These events were designed to showcase the university and encourage parental support and involvement. The Dads Club assisted in registering attendees, coordinating events, and providing activities for participants. The records document these efforts and include registration information, "special letters" which were sent to targeted guests, correspondence, financial data, follow-up reports and newsclippings. The series also includes programs produced for these events between 1934 and 1975.
