Professor of civil engineering, University of Washington.
Alfred Lawrence Miller was born 1897, he died 1965. As a professor of civil engineering he specialized in structural engineering, and earthquake resistance. Miller was associated with an Engineering Education Mission to Japan, 1951; wind tunnel testing for the Space Needle at the Seattle World's Fair (Century 21); and maintained continuing contact, from 1927, with Japanese engineers on structural matters.
