Historical NoteReturn to Top

To support the teachings and research in fisheries and oceanography, the University of Washington created a separate library for fisheries and oceanography in 1950. The library started with materials from the old Science Reading Room and departmental collections. The library moved to the Oceanography Teaching Building in 1969. In 2009, the Fisheries and Oceanography Library was combined with the Suzzallo and Allen libraries.
