- The Levi Savage Jr. diaries (1877-1903) consist of bound and unbound typescript copies of Savage's diaries. Levi Savage Jr. (1820-1910) was an early Mormon settler to Utah who led and survived the journey of the ill-fated Willie handcart company.

Levi Savage Jr. was born 23 March 1820 in Greenfield, Ohio, to Levi Savage Sr. and Polly Haynes. He served as a member of the Mormon Battalion and later married Jane Mathers in 1848. He served a mission to the Far East and joined the Willie handcart company on his return journey. He survived the journey, although most of the company did not. Levi spent the last forty-five years of his life in Toquerville, Utah. He died on 13 December 1910.

The Levi Savage Jr. diaries (1877-1903) consist of bound and unbound typescript copies of Savage's diaries. He describes his day-to-day activities in southern Utah, including temple work, church reponsibilities, birthday and anniversary celebrations, dances, school, and others. The transcription of these diaries was a result of the ERA project in southern Utah in 1934.
