Printed posters, mainly promoting events and exhibitions from various University of Washington departments and student groups, as well as non-profit organizations, commissions, and businesses from the Seattle area and other locations in the Pacific Northwest.
Posters originally hung in Menache Israel's Central Office Supply store in Pioneer Square. These Seattle-area event posters from 1978-2003 include theater performances, music performances, exhibition openings at museums and galleries, visiting/touring performances, events at Seattle and Westlake Center, and festivals. Highlights include events by the Seattle Opera, Seattle Symphony, the Seattle Repertory Theatre, ACT Theatre in Seattle, Intiman Theatre in Seattle, Village Theatre in Issaquah, Folklife Festival, Seattle Art Museum, Museum of History and Industry, Burke Museum, Davidson Galleries, Seattle Central College, and the Pacific Science Center.

Donor: Jan Knutson, 2007 and Michael Israel (86 oversized folders), son of Menache Israel, on 2019-10-21. University of Washington Libraries exhibits posters separated out from University of Washington Libraries, Special Collections Division Files of Public Exhibits (Acc. 22-010). North Cascades Institute and USDA-Forest Service posters from North Cascades Conservation Council papers (Acc. 1732-015).
Purchase from Nick Aretakis (2 oversized folders) on 2016-10-21 added as an accrual into existing inventory.
