- The Mac Madsen papers (1981-2001), consists of a booklet, Put Away Your Guns, Brethren!, notes for a presentation at the 2001 Salt Lake City Sunstone Symposium, entitled, "Sacrificing Principle for Profit," with a parallel article he authored for the Salt Lake Tribune. All items deal with the LDS Church position on recreational hunting. Mac Madsen was men's basketball coach and assistant athletic director in the early 1960's at BYU-Hawaii. During the following three decades he served as a tenured faculty member in Health Education and as men's golf coach at Weber State University.
