Biographical NoteReturn to Top
William Clarence ("W.C.") Weir was the President of Pacific University from 1922-1924. Before coming to Pacific, he had worked at the Bellingham, Washington Normal School, which is now known as the Woodring College of Education at Western Washington University. He had also been active in the Red Cross during World War I and had served in the Foundation for Education of the Congregational Churches of America.

The scrapbook of William Clarence ("W. C.") Weir is primarily composed of newspaper clippings with some loose printed material inside the cover. It pertains to the Bellingham, Washington area. Subjects of the newspaper clippings include the American Legion Club and other local organizations, women's employment and civic activities during the World War I, and local events including the Tulip Festivals and parades that took place in the city during this time.
