Historical NoteReturn to Top
The Pacific University Mother's Club was a volunteer organization that participated in fundraising and student activities. It was active from the 1930s until at least the 1960s. Some of its initiatives included raising funds to furnish McCormick Hall and for the women's dormitory Herrick Hall, attending an annual luncheon on May Day, and coming to "Mother's Day," which was an Oak Leaf society event. The club also sent letters to administrators asking what they could contribute to the school and the students.
Content DescriptionReturn to Top
This collection includes the meeting minutes and miscellaneous records of the Pacific University Mother's Club from the years of 1933 to 1960. One book seems to be a scrapbook of the club with a number of pasted news clippings and correspondence in addition to the clubs minutes while the other two books belonged to the secretary of the club, so everything in those books is in regards to the clubs monthly meetings, minutes and member lists.
