Arthur Elliot Harrison (1908-1976) was a professor of electrical engineering from 1949 to 1976. During the late 1940s he became interested in the study of glaciers and since that time documented the growth and expansion of the Nisqually Glacier on Mt. Rainier, and the Coleman-Roosevelt Glacier on Mt. Baker. Professor Harrison was also active in the Mountaineers and the Sierra Club, Pacific Northwest Chapter. Arthur E. Harrison died in Seattle on May 20, 1976.

The bulk of this accession concerns Harrison's measurement of the Coleman Glacier, Mt. Baker. Boxes 3-11 are hand-drawn maps of Coleman Glacier, 1954-1965.
