This oral history project was funded by Boeing to celebrate Boeing's centennial by collecting oral histories from people who worked at the company. The original intent was to capture 100 oral histories, but ultimately 81 interviews were conducted. The interviews were deposited both with MOHAI and with the Boeing Archives and used in the the exhibit "Flight Path: Boeing's 100th Anniversary" at MOHAI.

Interviewers names are noted in the item level inventory below. The videographer for the project was Jesus Velázquez Sosa.

Interview with Robert (Bob) Krull, who was Director of Boeing Community Connection. He worked for Boeing from 1959 to 1995, and his interview charts his first jobs in structural testing, through his move to management, and his philanthropic work at Boeing. He also discusses overseeing the development of ATMs, during the Boeing "bust" period of the 1970s. Interview conducted by Emily Hall.

Their interview covers how they joined Boeing, how their individual careers developed, and their joint projects. Peter M. Morton’s extensive 58-year career has been predominantly in aviation, including pilot training, flight deck design, marketing, program management and executive management. Morton held several executive positions at the Boeing Company including Vice President Human Resources and Leadership Development, Director of Marketing, Director of Customer Training, Director 7J7 Program Management, and Chief Engineer 757 flight deck. Darcy-Hennemann worked at Boeing from 1974 to 2015, first as an engineer and then as captain on the 747-400, 737, 757, 767 and 777 airplanes. He joined Boeing in 1966 as an engineer and worked in instrumentation, test system hardware and software development/procurement, setup and operation for BCA laboratory test facilities. In 1983 he became Chief Engineer for Software Engineering and later was the Chief Engineer for the Avionics/Flight Systems Simulation Labs, Director of Laboratory Test, and from 1997 to 2004 led the Boeing Commercial Airplanes laboratory team in working with McDonnell-Douglas counterparts to rationalize the combined assets of the two companies following the merger. Throughout her 31-year Boeing career, Cosgrove progressed through a variety of assignments with increasing responsibility. She was promoted to management in 1994 and to executive management in 2000, at first a test engineer and later in positions that included the Director of Everett Site Services for Boeing Shared Services Group and Director of Boeing Enterprise Lab Wind Tunnels and Services and Aero-Noise-Propulsion Laboratories. Interview with Inez Racine Towner about her career at Boeing. She began working at the company in 1968 for the 747 program in Everett, in a clerical job in panel maintenance. She took a voluntary layoff in 1970 and returned in 1979 to work on the 767 program on control file and procurement coding. She later worked on the B2 Stealth Program in procurement. She again left the company between 1989 and 1995, when she rejoined as a 777 Manufacturing Planner. In 2016, she was working on Environmental Control Systems. Towner helped form the Boeing American Indian Society in 2006. Interview conducted by Emily Hall.

Interview with Desmond John Evans, who started at Boeing in 1958 at the Renton Division. He worked as Supervisor on the 727 Production Line, a Line Supervisor on the 747 Jumbo Commercial Jet Program in Everett, and continued on as a manager in manufacturing of the 767 and 777 programs. He retired, but then rejoined in 1995 for two years to yet support the exterior decorative painting of the 777 and 737 airplanes. Evans was one of "The Incredibles" who worked on the 747. He had retired between 2010 and 2013, when he was called back to work on the 777 product development. Previous to his retirement, Andersen was vice president – program manager of Boeing Commercial Airplanes 777 Program in Everett. Interview with Fred C. Mitchell about his 39-year career at Boeing. Mitchell began at Boeing in 1961 as a associate tool engineer. From the late 1960s through 1980, he worked on 707 Passenger Accommodations, on all areas of payload systems. He was part of the first Boeing team that went to China. He spent much of the 1980s in air freight systems at the company. Beginning in the late 1980s, he joined the executive team as Director of Maintenance Engineering, VP and GM of Customer Service, VP and GM of Fabrication, VP of Airplane Production, Executive VP of Components, Executive VP of Operations for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. He retired in 2001, but beginning in 2008 rejoined periodically to help out with special projects. Interview conducted by Emily Hall.

Interview with John F. (J.J.) Jenkins, an aircraft mechanic, who started working at Boeing in Greenville, Mississippi, in 1987, and moved to Seattle not too long after. He was worked on several different programs, including the 747, 767, and discusses changes in assembly line process. He then took roles in Product Development and managed several factories in the Fabrication Development, and in 2008, Cornish became the Manufacturing Vice President for the 787 Program, where he stayed until his retirement in 2012.
