Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Harold M. Brown photographed the progress of the Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River and logging activities in the area. In 1933 the site for the Bonneville dam was chosen, and on July 9, 1938 the dam officially opened. Brown lived from 1887-1956; he operated a commercial photography businesses and was an army photographer during World War II.
