Professor of psychology, University of Washington, university administrator, author.
Edwin Ray Guthrie born 1886, died 1959. Besides his professorship in psychology, Guthrie served as Dean of the Graduate School and Director of Academic Personnel. During 1942, Dr. Guthrie was associated with a special study group in the War Department Psychological Warfare Branch studying propaganda and leadership, some of it leading to the published work on the "American Soldier."
