Historical NoteReturn to Top
Utah's first Business and Professional Women's Club was organized in Salt Lake City in 1913 and gained national recognition as a federation in 1923. Members of the federation have helped preserve Cove Fort and the Old State House in Fillmore, helped defeat the discriminatory "Working Wives Bill," supported the United Service Organization, worked on labor-law reform, and allied themselves with the country's youth through various activities, among many other things.
