Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Warren Thomas Evans (1871-1959) was originally from Indiana, but after his marriage to Pearl Mae Bangs (1881-1974) in Iowa on September 2, 1902, he moved to Minnesota. In 1912, after the birth of his children, Warren Raymond (1905-1990) and Ruth C. (1908-1980), Evans took up a homestead claim in Toole County, Montana, one mile south of town of Shelby. Evans worked as a dentist and also as the Toole County assessor for 32 years. At the time of his retirement, Evans held the record for the longest term of service in the State.
