Album of photographs depicting scenes along the route of the Great Northern Railway in Minnesota, Montana, Washington and British Columbia. Images include views of Minnesota; Kalispell and Glacier Park (Montana); Kaslo and Lake MacDonald (British Columbia); and Spokane, Wenatchee area, Tumwater Canyon, Skykomish River, Snoqualmie Falls and Mt. Index (Washington). Some photographs, particularly those of the Cascades, may have been taken by Anders Beer Wilse.
Images include a view of the first Great Northern bridge crossing the Columbia River near Wenatchee looking east (page 19); the Great Northern line between Scenic and Windy Point looking east at about milepost 1,175 (page 34); Martin Creek trestle between Scenic and Windy Point (page 37); view of switchbacks above Wellington (later Tye) looking south (page 40). Trestle in front is part of bridge #22 across the Tye River.
