Businessman and philanthropist of Seattle, Washington.

Alfred Shemanski was born in Poland in 1874or 1875. He came to Seattle in 1900 and established a clothing store which became Eastern Outfitting Company. He was one of the founders of the Community Chest of Seattle and served on the University of Washington's Board of Regents for 13 years. In 1953 with his wife, Tillie, he set up a trust, the Alfred and Tillie Shemanski Fund for charitable purposes. Shemanski died in 1966.

The Glendale Country Club subgroup concerns a debt owed by the club and Shemanski's attempt to repay it.
