Edith Bolte MacCracken was born February 16, 1869. She was the wife of Dr. S. Gordon MacCracken who had practiced in Ashland, Oregon and was the vice-president of the Jackson County Medical Society in 1924. She served as a president of the Auxiliary to the Jackson County Medical Society from 1934 to 1935. She initiated a survey in April 1935 to collect biographical data of physicians in Jackson County from around 1850 to 1935. Several members of the Auxiliary assisted her in collecting the data and her sons typed the compiled materials.
