Administrator, University of Washington.
Helen Remick served the University of Washington as an administrator for 30 years, developing and implementing its affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, and equal opportunity programs. Beginning as the director of Affirmative Action for Women, 1975-1982, she then served successively as: director of Affirmative Action, 1982-1984; equal employment officer, 1984-1990; assistant provost for Human Rights and Affirmative Action, 1990-1993; and assistant provost for Equal Opportunity, 1993-2005. Remick wrote numerous articles, presented papers, provided testimony, and consulted both nationally and internationally on the issues of pay equity, comparable worth, and sexual harassment. Remick retired from the University of Washington in 2005.
