Biographical Note

Earl Sylvester Coe was born 1892, and died 1964. He served in the legislature as Washington State Representative, 1938-1944; Washington State Senator, 1944-1947; Secretary of State (Washington), 1947-1957; and Washington State Director of Conservation, 1957-1964. He was associated with the following businesses: Coe (Earl S.) & Associates, 1946-1955; Coe (Earl S.) & Company, 1943-1954; Interstate Manufacturing Co., 1946-1948; and Nordby Lumber and Box Co., 1940-1954.
